Canon set to announce new store concept and new DSLR's

Following in the footsteps of Apple…

Canon has recently announced that they will be launching their first “Canon Experience Store” in January. For Canadian’s, they will start with at least one store in Calgary, Canada and slowly open more stores around the globe.

Unconfirmed Store Features
- They will be similar to apple stores, simplistic and will allow hands-on use of canon products.
- These stores will feature trial areas, iMac computers for education courses (sorry PC users) and a learning area.
- The announcement for this project should come in January.

Does the MEGApixel race get more interesting with the new Canon DSLR’

Well… get ready… a new 70D or a new 7D MKII announcement is set to be released this week… its anybodies guess what will be announced at this point… Canon Rumours isn’t saying much and either are any of the other sites out there. But what I can say is that the announcement will in the next few days…

On the SUPER megapixel front there have been rumours popping up around the web about a new DSLR that does not even exist yet… I have heard it will be somewhere in between the 5D MKIII and the 1D, and three websites I read said that it could be a completely different naming line-up…

Start watching for the announcements tomorrow... the last I heard was that they will be announced on January 15th, 2013

Whats new from Canon... talks, rumours, product

I have read that a couple of sources have finally surfaced to discuss that Canon is bringing out a camera with a higher pixel count. While an announcement is forthcoming in 2012, nothing has been said to be in deveolpment yet.

So... stay tuned... I am sure there will be some announcements in the coming months.

I made mention of it last month and I hear now that the new EOS 7D Mark II is rumored to be announced some time in January, 2013. The camera would take the place of the 7D and 60D. The spec list I read was minimal. But its said to have a 20+ megapixel sensor and the ability to shoot 10fps. I am thinking the fps rate is what they want to market and pull in birders and sports photograpehrs.

I do think that the price is going to have to be geed. With the D600 from Nikon EOS 6D priced at just over $2000 the smaller sensors are goign to sit on teh shelves a lot longer than in years past...

So, lets wait and see what Canon comes up with...

The next Canon EOS-1D-X

While Canon called the EOS-1D X an amalgamation of the EOS-1 line, I don’t think everyone truly believed that the 1D-X was going to be the only flagship level camera in the lineup forever. It may have bought them some time while they got the EOS-1D X to market and worked on getting the EOS-1D C to market as well... (read the rest of the article below)
